Acton Gardens Development
NorDan is delighted to have secured the contract for the latest phase of the Acton Gardens development (7.1) to the value £910k, spearheaded by Countryside Partnership South West London, L&Q, Ealing Council and RMA Architects. The overall development will see 3,500 new homes constructed, replacing 1800 existing council properties and transforming the local area. NorDan have already work the majority of previous phases which architects HTA, PRP, BPTW Partnership, A&Q Partnership.
Consisting of a mix of affordable homes and family housing, the development will also include enhanced social infrastructure with more than 13,000 square metres of public space including new streets, parks and sports facilities.
NorDan is supplying products from our NTech range, specifically the double glazed aluminium clad timber top swing fully reversible window and balcony doors, as well as the NTech front entrance door. This range of products were selected as it was the most cost-effective way of meeting both the thermal and acoustic requirements for the project, as well the impressive sustainability and the long life-cycle of the product which is 60+ years.
The development has been highly commended for regenerating the estate and local area. At the London Evening Standard New Home Awards, Acton Gardens won the award for ‘Outstanding Approach to Regeneration’.

Due to be completed in 2026, to date 1300+ new homes have been built or are currently under construction. A further 1,900+ homes are planned for rent, shared ownership and sale. The rolling programme by L&Q and Countryside has 15+ phases.
Acton Gardens has collected a variety of awards, such as Winner of Regeneration Award and a Project Award at the Housing Design Awards 2016, and Regeneration Project of the Year at the Evening Standard New Homes Awards 2014.
