Beam Park Phase 1

NorDan is delighted to have won the contract to work on the Beam Park Phase 1 project in Dagenham alongside Countryside Properties, London and Quadrant Housing Trust, BPTW Architecture and Pollard Thomas Edwards.

Countryside Properties and L&Q received planning permission for the Beam Park project in September 2018, following a Greater London Authority hearing and progress on site is now well underway. At 29 hectares, or 71.1 acres, Beam Park was the second largest housing development in London to be granted planning permission in 2018.

Beam Park will create over 3,000 homes, with more than half being affordable housing – this is equal to 1,513 affordable homes. The £1bn development will also provide a new railway station, framed by a high-quality public square, as well as a medical centre, which not only serves the new residents, but also up to 7,000 people in the surrounding area. Two schools, retail spaces, a gym, nursery, community facilities, a multi-faith space, and two energy centres will also be delivered. The Beam Park station is located on the C2C line and will significantly enhance the area’s direct links into Central London.

NorDan will be working on phase 1 of the project to deliver NTech Tilt & Turn Windows, NTech Fully Reversible, NTech Sliding Patio Doors, balcony doors and NTech StormGuard front entrance doors.

Construction started in the spring, with sales of the new homes launching later in the year. Phase one of the development, which will provide 640 new homes, is due to be completed by 2022.

We are delighted to be working alongside partners, Countryside Properties, once again on such a prestigious development.
