Five things to consider when choosing an entrance door

Just as we all are different, so are our priorities. That’s why this list of five things to consider when choosing your external door is not prioritized. For some of us, design means more than anything. For others, knowing that the door will keep you and your family safe is more important than how easy the door is to install.

1. High build quality

Like most other building products, there are big differences between a door from one manufacturer to another. Two doors that might look similar, can have very different qualities both «under the surface» and on the outside. 2. Energy efficiency

A door’s energy efficiency is measured using U-value, where the lower the number the better the insulating capacity. Windows and doors are often the least insulated parts of a building and choosing a NorDan external door with low U-values can really reduce the overall consumption of energy used. That means you save money year after year either when heating your home in the winter or keeping it cool in the summer.

3. Wide range of designs

The external door tells a story of the people living behind it, so it should of course be a design that you love.
