NorDan Supplying for Queens Quay, Clydebank

This exciting new residential development in Glasgow will feature NorDan products across over 140 new homes.

NorDan UK has recently been awarded a supplier contract for the Queens Quay mixed-use redevelopment in Clydebank, Glasgow, and will be providing the windows and doors across the new residences on the Sites A & B of the development.

The plans were approved in 2016, and the Queens Quay project will regenerate a brownfield site adjacent to the River Clyde, which was once the site of the famous John Brown & Co. shipyard. The £23m project is being overseen by CCG for the Wheatley Group, with the buildings designed by MAST Architects.

Site A which will consist of several apartment blocks between 5 and 7 storeys, with 117 total units between 1 and 3 bedrooms – of which 9 flats will be wheelchair-accessible. Site B will be a 6-storey block of 29 council-managed flats. This development will also feature 86 car parking spaces – with many able to have electric vehicle charging points installed – also, 146 bicycle storage units and 4 commercial units to potentially be used for community facilities.

NorDan will be supplying a range of products including their Topswing Reversible windows, Double Balcony Doors, and two styles from the HomeGuard range, which are the HG 102 and HG 106. These products will provide the new homes with safe, highly functional windows and doors that offer superior sound-reduction and fantastic U-values.

We are happy to announce that after some delays due to the Coronavirus pandemic, work on the development is now underway, with the first phase of homes expected to be completed sometime in 2021.

The team at NorDan UK is proud to be involved in the project and we look forward to seeing it progress over the coming year.
