We know how daunting it can be to get new windows and we know that it can surprise many people when they hear about how long the process actually takes. However, getting it right first time is just as important to us as it is to you and we take great pride in ensuring that the windows you pick are completely perfect for your specific needs and wants.
Even though you appreciate that quality takes time, you may still be wondering what exactly takes place from when you initially decide to buy new windows, to them being installed in your home, so we have mapped out every step of this process so you are completely clued up.
The Process to Getting New Windows
Getting in touch
So, you have decided it is time to get some new windows but you have no idea where to start. Do not worry, you can start by visiting our website or giving us a call. This first contact is where you tell us what you are looking for and then we start finding the best possible solution for your new project.
Finding the perfect product
It is difficult to know which products to choose from because there are so many. But, we can send you out one of our Windows & Doors brochures with our entire product range or you could even come into our showroom at our Livingston Head Office and see them for yourself. Here you will be able to talk to one of our Showroom Coordinators who will be able to best advise you and answer any questions you may have.
Drawings
Bringing your ideas and dreams to life. Once you have your drawings and measurements, get in touch and let us see them. We can then share your vision and aspirations for your project.
Quotation
When we agree on the type of windows and various dimensions you require, we have all the information we need to give you a quotation. The quotation can be updated to reflect any changes you might want added or removed.
Placing the Order
When you accept the quotation, we are all ready to place the order. A 50% deposit is required at the time of ordering with the balance payable 6 weeks from the date the deposit is paid. Please note that orders will not be placed until funds are cleared by bank.
Manufacturing
Now all your hard work is done and it is time to sit back and let us do the rest while we manufacture your windows. Depending on your order, we will produce your products from one of our factories in either Poland or Norway. Then they are gathered in one of our distribution hubs and prepared for shipping.
Shipping
Your NorDan windows are Norwegian designed, and produced at one of our three factories in Norway and Poland. We will let you know your lead times straight away to allow you to plan, while the finished product is shipped to the UK. You can even track your order to stay updated on the progress.
Delivery
When the windows are in the UK, they are loaded onto a lorry and prepared for delivery. You will be notified of the delivery date in advance. We also provide a comprehensive delivery info pack to make sure you have everything you need to be prepared for delivery and fitting.
After Sales
This is the part of the process where you can really relax and enjoy your new windows. A correctly fitted and maintained window will last decades but any questions or assistance you may need, you can reach out to us for help. We are ready for your request and happy to assist you with anything to do with your NorDan windows.
