Pennywell Phase 3
NorDan UK is proud to have won a supplier contract for this extensive regeneration project in North Edinburgh.
Building works on phase three of the Pennywell development in Edinburgh are now well underway, with NorDan supplying several products for the 315 high-quality homes being built. We are extremely proud to say this will be one of the largest projects to be delivered within Central Scotland in 2020.
Designed by architects Barton Willmore, the homes will be part of the Pennywell Living housing regeneration project. This is the result of a £42 million investment from the City of Edinburgh Council. Building works are being carried out by Urban Union, in partnership with the Robertson Group, where the overall project will deliver over 750 new homes upon expected completion in 2023. An entire half of these new homes will be affordable.
The first two Phases of the development proved to be very sought-after, with Phase 2 selling out quickly because of the exceptionally high quality of homes on offer and the demand for affordable, well-designed housing in the city. The site is ideally situated, with easy access to local amenities and leisure facilities, as well as access to major routes to Edinburgh city centre for work commuters and students.
The 315 new homes built in Phase 3 will include 181 for the City of Edinburgh Council and 134 for private sale, with a range of different house types suited to a wide variety of lifestyles and budgets. This presents opportunities for everyone from first time buyers to growing families.
NorDan UK is grateful to have been awarded the contract to supply windows and doors for the development. Products installed in the new homes will include NTech Tilt & Turn windows, fully reversible windows, balcony doors and H1 entrance doors.
The high thermal efficiency and exceptional weather performance of these products are ideal for keeping energy and maintenance costs low. This in turn leads to a reduction in electricity bills and enhanced living conditions – making NorDan UK the perfect window solution for our customers and their projects.
