Newhall Development Phase 2A
NorDan were absolutely thrilled to have been involved in the first phase of the Newhall Residential Development in Harlow and we are so pleased to have been selected again to have our products installed into a further 163 homes for Phase 2A.
NorDan UK are thrilled to have been awarded the contract to supply window and doors products for the Newhall housing development in Essex. This extensive project entered Phase 2A in summer of 2019, where our products are going to be fitted throughout the 142 houses and 21 apartments being built. This is just the latest expansion of Newhall, which upon completion will feature 2800 total residences as well as community facilities.
Developed by Countryside New Homes and Communities, the project at Newhall will continue the success of the several other schemes that form part of the Harlow New Town plan, which was established by Sir Frederick Gibbard following the Second World War.
Phase 2 of the development was designed by architects BPTW, with the aim being to reflect the heritage of the area and existing landscape within the design of the new homes. The Phase 2 homes are grouped into 'village clusters' that are brought together with the existing phases to create a close community of residences. BPTW referenced the original town of Old Harlow in its architectural design, adapting traditional details with contemporary materials.
Newhall is already home to a wide variety of green spaces as the architects made sure to incorporate quality landscaping and create connections between the green spaces. Additionally they have created many public walkways and cycle paths throughout the development so that residents can really relish in the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors.
NorDan UK was contracted to supply products for this ambitious development - including our proprietary NTech Topswing Reversible windows, double balcony doors and HomeGuard timber entrance doors. With safety and security as paramount concerns for a residential development of this size, NorDan's products are a perfect fit thanks to their extensive safety features, secure locking and toughened glass. Their incredible thermal efficiency will also be of great benefit to residents.
