NorDan Supplying for Springwell House in Edinburgh
NorDan is delighted to be supplying the stunning Springwell House in Edinburgh.
Springwell House is the newest development from AMA Homes and is set to restore two late-1800s Victorian buildings while renovating and repurposing them as contemporary accommodation. NorDan UK are proud to be supplying products including one handle tilt & turn windows, fixed light windows, H1 main entrance doors and inward opening balcony doors to the new properties being built.
The development will contain 35 spacious apartments, 5 contemporary duplexes, 6 four-bedroom townhouses and 2 traditional lodges, and is situated in Gorgie in the west of Edinburgh City Centre. This popular and vibrant location will afford residents with easy access to Haymarket train station, Edinburgh Airport and the motorway networks, while also offering excellent local shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities.
Part of the restoration works will involve the demolition of a series of 1960s extensions to the two main buildings. These will be replaced by new, contemporary additions designed to complement the Victorian style of the existing buildings. The grounds and surrounding walls will both be landscaped and renovated respectively, and there will be the addition of extensive off-street, secured parking for residents.
We believe NorDan’s window and door products will be an excellent addition to this highly desirable development, as they are low maintenance and provide a high level of energy efficiency that will make the homes exceedingly comfortable and cost-effective to live in.
Works on Springwell House began in early 2019 and are set to be completed by the end of 2020. We look forward to seeing the project come to fruition in the coming months.
